One thing about me...I have found my volunteer spirit! 
There's nothing I like more than spending time on a Habitat or a Rebuild Together project, helping a friend, sharing a meal with a
neighbor...anything that will help ease another's burden. I believe
you can find both peace and passion when you are giving your
time and your heart to something.
  
In my career, I have had the pleasure to start a community Junior Achievement program that engaged parents of K-12 grade students to volunteer their time to teach business principles in the classroom. The Chamber of Commerce honored me with an Above and Beyond award for my efforts. Two years later, our school superintendent informed my that I had been nominated for the Fair Play Award, given by Dr. Suellen Reed, for my work in bringing parents and school together.

I believe my passion to do more, drove me to become a Franklin Covey facilitator for
The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, Building Trust and FOCUS, among others.  I "buy in" to the concept that we all have enough time on this planet to make a living and make a difference.  And it gives me great pleasure to see people tap into their own passion and run with it. 

I have educated countless others on customer service, sales, supervisory training, project management, time management, communication skills and presentation skills...all leading me to the best one - leadership. 

Leadership skills can be taught, but a true leader feels
it inside. They find that they get the most out of watching other people grow and connect.

My seven years as a leadership program director showed me that you can empower people to change their future.  That was an experience of a lifetime and I'm so proud of the progress those leaders have made!

Some of the most inspiring leaders are our youth.  I have had the privlege to accompany more than 500 students in our nation's capitol to provide education and leadership direction. I feel I have made life long friends with those incredible young leaders.

The youth in your communities are our future. Our future customers, teachers, neighbors, and leaders. They are our toughest test and our biggest reward.  Let's start with them.
